16 weeks! And a few lyrics and thoughts...

This morning while we gathered with our church family we sang a song that always resonates with my soul so powerfully.
My favorite part is the bridge and I wanted to share the lyrics here because this is my HOPE in Christ.

"The veil is torn, and now I live with the Spirit inside. The same One, the VERY same One that brought the Son back to life. Hallelujah He lives in me!"
-Mercy Me, "You are I Am"

Understanding what it means that the veil was torn is HUGE.
It means that I no longer have to go before a priest but can enter into the throne room of God on my own. The spirit that was behind the veil now lives inside of me because of what Jesus did on the cross for us all. Hallelujah!!! We have complete access to the one and only HOLY God if you have Christ living in your heart. Thank you Jesus!!

It seems silly now to go on and post this but at the same time not because there is a miracle growing inside of my womb. A precious gift, a reward from God Himself. We had the privilege of finding out what we are having yesterday and I am so anxious to share the news with you and how God had revealed the name to me a week before. Such an incredible story to share with you all!! Unfortunately you will have to wait a few more weeks because we are planning on sharing this wonderful news with our sweet family in Texas through a gender reveal party that I am so excited about.

Big wonderful news to share!!!!!

Hey friends!
If you don't follow me on Facebook, then you wouldn't know we announced this past week that we are expecting a sweet new babe!!
I have been a little low profile still since becoming pregnant.
I have practically NO energy at the moment and blogging has been put on the back burner for now.
I am not really sure how often I will be blogging during this season.
To be honest, I thought about just giving it up or taking a hiatus for a long while.
I love it though, so for now I am going to stick to it and post whenever I feel like it, hehe.

This is the photo we shared on Facebook:

It was the day we found out.
Sailor was asleep and Judah had just woken up.
I was worried that someone would judge me for not having all of my children in the photo.
I am not sure if it was a judgement, but someone did make a comment about it.
Who cares though!!
We wanted to do a more elaborate announcement but I decided that we don't have to keep up with the "Joneses".
It's funny because I would have never considered myself to be one who cared about that sort of thing, but I think there are times when I do.
In fact, I know there are.
Honestly, it is too tiring to try and I think that has also been a factor in why I have't been blogging as much as well.
Anyways, we will have family photos taken, but not because it's the thing to do.
I want them taken because I want to remember.
Photos make time stand still and bring back so many memories of whatever particular season you were in at the time.
I love to capture little moments, little expressions....

All of that to say we are 11 weeks and can't wait to be out of the first trimester!!
There is a cute questionnaire that a friend of mine did while she was pregnant and I have also seen it on other blogs as well.
I plan on updating it each week on here... maybe :].

So here goes:
[trying on maxi's at TJ Maxx with crazy hair]

How far along? 11 weeks!!
Total weight gain: None
Maternity clothes? No
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well, having to wake up to use the bathroom about once a night :]
Best moment this week: Sharing our big news on Facebook
Miss anything? Aspartame, ha.
Movement: No
Food cravings: Changes daily. It's funny because I didn't have any with Judah until about the last month. That post I made about potato salad was a serious craving I had so I made it and shared it on here.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I bought the Young Living starter kit and of course I can't use any of them right now unless I want to throw up.
Gender: Unknown
Labor signs: None
Symptoms: Nausea and extreme fatigue, so far I have only thrown up twice and if you followed along with my last pregnancy you will know that my last first trimester was from hell so this seems like a walk in the park.
Showing? Yes!
Belly button in our out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Sometimes moody, sometimes happy!
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender!!

Psalm 127: 3-5 "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a REWARD. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who FILLS his quiver with them."

Ps. Guys, there's a baby in there!!!!!!!

Easy Delicious Potato Salad

I know it has been a couple of weeks.
I have just been a little low profile.
The boys and I caught some virus last weekend and I was busy healing us all with Young Living essential oils!
I am loving them.
We were all on the mend within 24 hours.
I am convinced that they cut down our "sick time" because my mom caught it and now has bronchitis!
Anyways, we are better now and I wanted to share a yummy recipe I just made!

I adapted the recipe from here.

INGREDIENTS:

6-7 Russet Potatoes

1 sweet vidalia onion, chopped

10 Hard boiled eggs, chopped

1 cup of Miracle Whip

1 tsp yellow mustard

About 1/2 cup of bread and butter pickles [more or less to your tasting]

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place eggs in a pot covered with cold water. When the water starts to boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered for 1 minute. Remove from heat, COVER, and let stand for 20 minutes. Then transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water until cool.

2. Peel and dice the potatoes into about 1 inch pieces.

3. Cover them with water and bring them to a boil until you can easily stick a fork through them.

4. Let potatoes cool before mixing so they won't crumble. Put them in a bowl in the fridge while you cut and mix other ingredients.

5. In a separate bowl add all other ingredients.

6. Fold in potatoes gently.

Grab a spoon and enjoy!

I am serving this tonight with chicken legs and green beans!
If you try out the recipe let me know, by commenting, if you liked it and what you paired it with.
I think next time I will try it with spicy brown mustard instead of yellow!

The BIG one [party, party]

My dreams literally came true with this party.
I had a vision and made it reality.
My mom helped me put it all together the night before.
I so enjoyed throwing this party for Judah and we all had a lovely time celebrating his wonderful life.
Such a happy little life we have.
