Our half decorated tree, it takes longer when you have two littles :]
We are finally getting into the Christmas spirit around here.
This year has brought new fascination because of a certain 2 year old.
He is loving every second of it.
From lights to trees to snow on the ground, each new experience brings new excitement for him.
Judah watches, and though he can't be hands on, he loves to see Sailor enjoy everything!
What a fun season we are in.
We are really settling into being family of four.
Things aren't so crazy anymore and it seems that we have found somewhat of a rhythm.
Trying to figure out how to balance your love and attention between two children and a husband can be a bit overwhelming at first but through prayer and completely relying on the Lord, it is possible!
I have learned so much over the last 7 months that I want to share soon!
Stay tuned :]
In other news, here is our Advent Christmas Countdown calendar!
I am sorta in love with it.
I wasn't going to do one out of lack of motivation, exhaustion, and laziness but then was inspired by a friend on FB who also has two little ones!
I got the envelop idea from her and I found a list of scripture to go with each day on Pinterest.
Each envelop is made out of felt that I just cut into the shape I wanted.
I stapled the sides together and then put a scripture reference that I had written out on little pieces of card stock in each one.
[Next time, if I were to do it this way again, I would stitch the sides together.
The staples were a bit of a pain because they didn't want to go all the way through...]
I then hung them on some hemp I had, folded the flap over it, and secured them with clothes pins.
The "Merry Christmas" is made out of felt as well.
I cut the letters out and stuck them to the wall with sticky tack.
It was so fun to put together.
I love it and love that the babes are hearing the Word of God and about the first coming of Christ.
It is so good for me to hear as well.
This was last years calendar!
I made it out of scrapbook paper and on the back of each was a fun Christmas activity to do together as a family.
I love Christmas!!
If you have made an advent calendar or have one that you use, I would love to see it!
